What is penetrating bitumen?<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

In addition to road construction and paving, penetrating bitumen is also used in other applications such as moisture insulation, roof covering, and waterproofing. This raw material plays a significant role in the development of infrastructure in the construction industry.
\nPenetration Grade Bitumen, which is also known as pavement bitumen, is a type of standard bitumen that is usually used in road construction and pavement, and is a petroleum product obtained from the distillation of crude oil.<\/p>\n

Permeable bitumens are classified based on their hardness and ability to withstand various traffic and weather conditions. The characteristics of this type of bitumen are determined by its penetration value, which is the depth in millimeters that a standard needle penetrates into the bitumen sample under specific conditions of time, temperature and load.<\/p>\n

Permeable bitumen is graded based on its penetration value at 25 degrees Celsius, which usually ranges from 10 to 300. The higher the amount of penetration, the softer the bitumen and vice versa.The most common penetrating bitumen grades in road construction and paving are 50\/40, 70\/60 and 100\/80 bitumen grades.<\/p>\n
